Plus it wasn't the CoE's decision- they were upset that the government chose that.
CoE can't claim "sanctity of marriage"; Henry VIII came up with it so he could get another divorce. Even if he was a total homophobe...

Actually its not legal in Scotland.
The Scottish Government doesn't have that kind of power within the UK, gay Marriage is still illegal here because Westminster doesn't give a shit about Scottish views.
Scottish people, although stereotypically prejudice, were more in favour of gay Marriage, Religious equality (Excluding Burkas/ Veils, since that goes against removing you're hood when entering a bank etc) than anywhere else in the UK.
