Okay, seriously, I'm a Grammar Nazi and proud of it, and I hate it when people misspell things or abuse the English language, but the fellow made a simple typo that anyone could easily make when typing quickly. It's a completely different issue, and furthermore is actually pretty well corroborated by the 3 a.m. reason. You just seem like you're deliberately starting an argument to get an ego boost.
