What are you guys downvoting him for? He makes a completely legitimate point. I prefer reading on paper, but when going on a vacation, it becomes impractical to bring 5+ books.

When you're on vacation, you should only really have time for 1 book.
Unless you go, just to read, which is odd, because you can do that at home.

That's a valid point most of the time, but sometimes you go to places because family members, etc, want to go somewhere warm... If you're like me, and get sunburned very easily, there's not that many things to do, except to read.

I'm Norwegian, so of course we have a cabin by the sea. You can only go fishing and swimming so often, and I usually end up bringing at least two books, just for a week.

I am not a big fan of doing lots of reading on tablet, backlit screens just hurt my eyes after a while.
Love reading from a reader, its just very practical.
but still, can't say i prefer it, there s something special about the smell of an old book...

Yeah i prefer an e-reader way more than a tablet. i just like that i dont have to carry like 5 heavy and thick books everyday to work. its a long commute on the trains and i pass time by reading and carrying one light and thin tablet or e-reader is better imo.

Its far more practical, they are great for commuting and travel.
I used to lug 3-5 books on every holliday. Now I just have to remember to take a charger :D
