your lack of true batman knowledge is disturbing.
the person who killed Bruce's parents was either Joe Chill or left as unknown. Since the new52 though Joe Chill is the designation of an unknown killer similar to how John Doe is for a corpse. So the killer is not known but still certainly not the joker. In the case of Nolan's movies Joe Chill was hired by the mob and killed outside the courthouse potentially because there was a hit on him or because of some random vigilante type.

You're half right. in the comics Joe Chill was the one who killed Batman's parents.
In the first Tim Burton Batman movie, however, it was the Joker.

Woah, what?  No sir, I don't think that's an easily forgettable film.  It's as comic-book as you can get and saw amazing performances from both Keaton and Nicholson.  So you can take your ire and cram it into a designated ire cramming receptacle.
