Unfortunately it's a misrepresentation of the Robin Hood effect. The business never was corrupt in any manner and yet its fine for someone to ruin a business to benefit others. As much as I'm glad to see a hero, I don't believe the crime was just in any manner. The terms of just as some may not understand is fair. A corrupt company I can understand but a business like this, I don't find fit. They bought the gold cookie to represent the business, it's an investment and what the person did was steal, and embezzlement. The problems I find with more crimes like these is that, any one can commit a crime like this and as long as it benefits someone it is deemed fair? The truth behind much of the story is ignored by the mediated OP and the truth that I went to search for is that in that area of Germany there has been many thefts of precious metals. Thanks for the correction. I agree with corrupt companies. As for larger companies the problem I feel is that it doesn't affect the heads but it does affect the workers, but than who am I to say that companies that are large are not corrupt. In general, I do love the Robin Hood concept but I want to see people use it for more profitable gains on corrupt companies not just a mere incident that is fine for everyone besides those who are honest. Anyways I think I'm just babbling about agreeing with you.

The fact is he extorted the company and the company in no way had anything to do with taking the public's money like the case of Robin Hood. Robin Hood was not a take from rich give to poor thing it was take from the tax collectors who took too much and overtaxed the people. I agree with trowlernotparas in the matter that the guy is a douche and if people read the article or other related articles about the event; they would notice a truth behind this media made mask of generosity. In that area of Germany there has been consistent problems of precious metals being stolen because the cost of metals has gone up. The truth is what we should seek don't let stories blind you.

I feel as though it's more than justified. Regardless of whether or not he earned the money, or it wasn't his. The fact is that someone else has more than they really need. And normally they wouldn't be willing to perform a random act of generosity like such. He may have stolen, but he certainly isn't going to use the money to buy himself a boat. And he's not really asking a whole lot. Hell I could pay a thousand if an urgent (like blackmail urgent) need ever arose.
