Each generation has gotten smarter thanks, in part, to texting and the internet. Now read this before you have a shit fit = Schools often say that texting ruins peoples' writing skills, but it doesn't, people who hate to write and never write anything on their free time still text so, so like or not, they are still writing more than any other generation before simply because they are texting. And with the internet and other shit like that its just easier to obtain information now than it ever was before. And you may say that most people don't use the internet for info, but Im sure they have accidentally learned shit. Think about what it would be like without google. I feel dumber just thinking about it

It doesn't matter what you normally use the computer for, everyone has learned something useful from the internet. And there's no argument against that. Like I learned that there are a group of awkward homosexuals who call themselves "Bronies"

Have you seen what people search lately?
Anyone with a question over a complex topic wants a simple solution.
Research rarely happens outside of school papers or job reports.
It's complete bullshit that our generation has become smarter since the standards for education are so low.

Our standards are low? Im assuming youre around 20 years old or so, my nephew just started school and his teacher, that's been teaching for 30 years told us that everything he is learning right now, in Kindergarten, is what we were learning in the 2nd and 3rd grade. Everything is getting harder.
My old high school recently instated a new test that is "impossible to fail".
Standardized testing was bad before but it seems to me like the problem is getting so much worse.
I do believe you're right about the early levels of education becoming more difficult, but so far that's only elementary.
I also apologize for my rude remark earlier, I didn't exactly mean you in particular, I just meant the average high school student.

Oh well thankyou, that also depends on the region youre speaking of, East St. Louis High School near me makes it impossible to fail and never marks anyone absent so they can make as much money from the state as possible. But my school had some of the highest test scores in the area and we took all the gov-regulated tests.
