No because there are cubing competitions where there's like all that. Making them the actual names is just annoying. There's actual names like petaminx and megaminx. It's easier.

aw... i can only get down to the low 40s...

I got 39 seconds once, nowadays I can only get around a minute but when I was in high school the was a rubiks cube fad and some people complained when the average for 5 solve was 25 seconds

thats wrong, i have the megaminx (this with one layer) and can solve it in 5 minutes. i got the gigaminx (this with 2 layers) at christmas and cannot figure it out. the petaminx in this photo, with 4 layers, would take an hour just to scramble well enough. even the 8x8 does not help with center building on the gigaminx.

the gigaminx is to the megaminx as the 5x5x5 (not 4x4x4) is to the 3x3x3

i learned the 3x3x3, 4x4x4 and 5x5x5 fairly quickly, then the megaminx i figured out before too long because it's basically just a cooler 3x3x3

for the gigaminx i had to remember ho to make the "edges" and centers the 5x5x5 way

basically the first couple hours (mine is really hard to turn...) is spent turning the gigaminx into a megaminx (the same way the first couple minutes is spent turning a 5x5x5 into a 3x3x3 for the more intuitive solve)
