What's so special about the pocket knife. I understand the Swiss, but what about the other one?
It it a high-end production knife that a lot of OHO fans were super amped for. I personally didn't like it when I handled one, but it is a nice knife.
It has D2 tool steel and is very well made. The 2.0 version is a little better, but not my cup of tea still. Here's a link.

A lot of traditionals are too. Take the Opinel, for instance. It may not be too pretty or anthing, but it is super lightweight, reliable, bomb-proof and very ergonomic. I'm not trying to argue, I'm just making conversation.
Here is a modified one with a moose antler handle (he replaced the wooden handle. The bead is mammoth ivory, I think.). People customize them all of the time to their liking.

They have their uses, but I don't care for 'em. Basically, my philosophy is summed up by this: if my Grandfather would look at it and shake his head, I don't like it (generally).
Now neck knives are a touchy one for me. I like outdoors neck knives like the ESEE Izula, Becker BK14 and so on. They are awesome for backpacking and just the right size. Actual 'necklace knives', however, I don't care for. I am very picky about my blades, hehe.
I do fancy a little creativity and a mixing of old and new. In this pic, you will see a traditional Electrician's knife pattern. However, it utilizes modern materials like G-10, Lightning Strike carbon fiber, and ATS-34 steel (I think it was that steel anyway on this one). This is a custom by Jared Oeser.

I kind-of like a certain style of the "Necklace knives", but that's because the style I like are the ones that are crosses with the blade you can pull out. I like them because I am somewhat of a christian, but I like having protection on me at all times. (Just in case)
Now for a funny story. I remember once going to (I cant remember if it was a bass pro or a cabela's) with my friend and seeing the "Bear Grylles" knife for the first time and leaving a little note above it stating "How am I supposed to drink my piss with this".

You know, there is nothing wrong with that at all. If you like something, fuck whatever others have to say.
I don't carry knives for self defense, I carry knives to make my life easier. The stuff that I like is not suitable to do so anyway, ah well, I don't think I will ever need it.
As for the Gerber BG Knife, that is hilarious, hat's off to you both.
