Honestly imo. Nirvana was limited. In about 3 or 4 years, nobody would have liked them. But Foo Fighters. Look at them. Like a decade strong, and still going.

In what way was Nirvana "limited?" Sure, the songs were almost all really simple, but each or their three albums were completely different from each other, not to mention all the B-sides and demos they did.

from a neutral perspective, they both suck compared to Blink and were less successful. Personally, I still like a select few of AvA songs where Saturday Love is a choon! +44 had 2 really good songs (and 1 decent song) but the rest of the album was really dull. Boxcar Racer had 2 really good songs but again, the rest were dull.

Foo Fighters' first album had many elements that were very similar to nirvana's later stuff especially the melodies and guitar + drum sounds, listen to 'Floaty' and 'Wattershed'.

I've never heard any resemblance in their music.

i dunno about that dude, a lot of foo fighters albums went really big. actually the least popular foo fighters album was the first one, which was right after nirvana ended, then came color and the shape which was really his breakthrough album.

He did tho... He made Foo Fighters and was at the beginning, the ONLY man in the band.. He did all the instruments and all the roles. He did it all and got the band popular. Not a lot of people knew David was in Nirvana expect those who paid attention. I for sure didn't at the start. You cannot just say he never did 'anything' special cause I doubt you have done something like that. Which is special since not a lot of people can say they have either...
