If anyone would be wiling to humor me in a comparison, I've always loved the clear similarities between the story of Eden in Genesis and the story of Prometheus and how in both man is taken from what is essentially a lulling existence and made to work and struggle to survive as a result of "defiance".

You'd be surprised how many stories and legends from around the world match up with the traditional christian story of creation/dealings with God.
