When you get to top of the mountain there is pickaxe... it's unique pickaxe called Notch and it's reference to Minecraft.

there are a few dragon shrines, each with their words of power
some are atop a mountain, some are in the middle of ruins, just look around
oh, and one is through a mine, all the way up, onto a mountain with burned down houses, that one is awesome (even though I never actually used the mine to get up there)
