When you socially fuck up, spaghetti is generally involved.

Most /b/ stories where someone socially does something incomprehensibly awkward or just plain stupid there's usually a spaghetti related ending.

I think it's in reference to Eminem's Lose Yourself: "Knees weak, arms are heavy, there's vomit on his sweater already; mom's spaghetti, he's nervous."

So nerves generally get associated with spaghetti on the internet.

It's not related to eminem at all, there was an old post on /b/ in an "awkward stories" thread where some kid went to mcdonalds and was talking to the chick at the counter and spaghetti fell out his pockets

I think it originated from a story where an insanely socially awkward kid carried spaghetti in a fanny pack and it's kinda become a meme that spaghetti falls out of your pockets when you're nervous

It's usually used in the context of fails due to awkwardness or lack of social skills

There are stories with lines like: she touched me and spaghetti came out of my pocket.
It's like a methaphor for being awkward. the more spaghetti the more awkward. I don't know where it came form. But it's 4chan, don't ask.
