So things are and they become when you intend them to, not just because you have the power to.

Seeing that argument about the dangers of omnipotence and all that, how about this:

You wish for a book that is ''omnipotent'', as in, everything you write in it, becomes real. You can also write ''rules'' in it, to limit your abilities, if afraid of them.

Or, taken from that idea: when you wish for omnipotence, put some ''rules'' or a personal ''inhibitor'' on it (like you make up a ''rulebook'' for your abilities)
