If you don't know enough about religion, you can't call yourself religious either.

I know as much about Christianity as any christian, because in case you didn't know, not all atheists were raised atheist.

That is quite wrong. One only need to look at few things to make up his mind about God.

For example.

1: Has a prayer actually happened? The answer is no. It will always be no.
2: Has this "God" person showed up recently? No. He has not.
3: Is his book correct? No. It's full of errors, plot holes and contradictions. It's not about reading it in a different. It's just full of errors. Google for them.

So no, there isn't much you need to know. We also have people who are willing to tell you all of these things and they will not lie to you as they like the truth more. Christians and other religious group tend to lie more often to get believers.

Or they chose the "You're a sin to mankind and only God can help you" type of way where they put the blame on you. When you've done nothing bad. Everyone is born innocent. But in Gods eye everyone seems to be evil from start no matter where they where born.


Also a fun thing about Moral. Would you kill someone if God asked you to? If not, why? Why would you go against your own God? Would it be due to that your own moral ground is higher than his? I surely hope so.

Someone wouldn't have to read their way through every holy book to decide that they don't believe that a god or gods is a logical concept.

I don't think so. If you tell someone "A magical being called God created everything", they could say "I don't believe that's possible" and no further knowledge about the religious beliefs would change that.

So where did religion come from? Somebody somewhere started it for a very specific reason, and I highly doubt they were raised to be religious as well
