until you know enough about religion, then you can't call yourself a atheist,
Although I do agree that you cannot disagree with something without understanding it, that logical could literally work with every religion. I assume you are a christian, which is fine, but in that case I could say "Until you've studied every other religion, as well as Atheism, you cannot call yourself a christian"

That is quite wrong. One only need to look at few things to make up his mind about God.
For example.
1: Has a prayer actually happened? The answer is no. It will always be no.
2: Has this "God" person showed up recently? No. He has not.
3: Is his book correct? No. It's full of errors, plot holes and contradictions. It's not about reading it in a different. It's just full of errors. Google for them.
So no, there isn't much you need to know. We also have people who are willing to tell you all of these things and they will not lie to you as they like the truth more. Christians and other religious group tend to lie more often to get believers.
Or they chose the "You're a sin to mankind and only God can help you" type of way where they put the blame on you. When you've done nothing bad. Everyone is born innocent. But in Gods eye everyone seems to be evil from start no matter where they where born.
Also a fun thing about Moral. Would you kill someone if God asked you to? If not, why? Why would you go against your own God? Would it be due to that your own moral ground is higher than his? I surely hope so.

Probably because they saw (or thought they saw) god(s) at work.
I honestly do not believe that religion was created just to control people. What? Has the Roman Catholic Church ever said: "We march the castle and take the king tonight!"? They certainly could have done that, in the last millennium.
The world needs religion because it gives people an option: a freedom to believe in what they want to believe.
Manipulative religions are rare and lacking in followers because it defeats the purpose of a religion.
Futile-Peacekeeping-MiddleGround-Anon, away!
