**jurkowski rolled a random image posted in comment #2672647 at My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic ** Wouldn't killing all the idiots actually drop the average person's IQ? As has been mentioned before, IQ is centered around 100 always being average, with the actual average being anywhere from 95-105. If you killed everyone below 100, people with previously high IQs would have their IQ number lowered to match the new average.

Let us say p1 is the percent of people who are above average before idiots are killed
and let us say p2 is the percent of people who are above average after idiots are killed
if p2 > p1, then the average is increased
if p1 > p2, then the average is decreased
you need less % of above average people to make the average go down
we would be able to find out the answer if the standard deviation was a lot lower, though.
