The heart is in the middle of the chest. The part doing a majority of the pumping is on the left side, which is why you feel your heartbeat on the left, but it is definitely in the center.

no, it is to the located to the left, not tilted. If you've ever learned about lungs, this is why your right lung is bigger. Your left lung has an indentation to make room for your heart.
