because we're two separate individuals with different opinions you condescending fuck.
dont get me wrong, i dont mind the gays at all. im all for it, i believe they should be able to do whatever they want because hey, we're all people
but thing i dont like, is when people hate on the people who dont like gays. i mean theyre entitled to their opinion in not liking gays the same way youre entitled to yours for supporting gays.
its so funny, people trying to argue rights while taking away the rights of their opposition.
the person who made this poster is no better than extreme anti-gays

the rights of gays aren't anybody's business to oppose, that's why everyone has a problem with it. it's nobody's fucking business to tell them not to get married or to not be together, they aren't hurting anyone. they're just trying to live their lives. opposing gay rights, therefore, is just an act of hate, because letting them marry would literally have no effect on you. gay marriage isn't a political statement, it's a human right.

oh for sure i totally agree
im just trying to point out that hate flows both ways, and people arguing for gay rights should be aware of this to avoid being hypocritical.
im trying to say that people should understand the opposite point of view.
you and me grew up in countries (presumably) that taught us that gay rights are fine. so to you and me, its like "omg, how can people not see this? its nothing bad or outrageous, its basic human rights. two people want to be together".
but it has to be understood that other people have totally different realities than us.
like some of these people would be looking at gays and thinking "omg this is totally unnatural and wrong. how can they NOT SEE how bad this is?" some people literally just think its wrong.
our worlds are totally different. just because we grew up in one, doesnt mean we should ignore and impose our own onto others..
dont get me wrong though, i think gays should do whatever they want, theyre people afterall. im just trying to look both ways

that implies that religious opinions should be a valid reason to withhold the rights of a human being?
I'm not saying people shouldn't be allowed to have their opinion. I'm just saying that if they're going to hold a negative opinion on something like gay rights, that literally has no effect on them, they're going to be heavily criticized.

oh i wasnt talking religiously at all. infact i didnt even think on the religious part.
i was speaking more generally.
well yes and no. Religion shouldnt be a reason, but infact its what religion does. Think about it, people against gays have been against gays their whole life. its what they truly and honestly believe is right. its THEIR WORLD, their whole perspective on things are totally different.
sometimes when i cant understand why someone has a different view than me, i try to think why. and honestly, their reality is just different.
consider this. Beastiality, we both (i hope) think its absolutely wrong, disgusting and horrendous. i mean we think holy crap how could anyone in the world have sex with AN ANIMAL? well there are people out there who think its awesome and normal, i mean they argue we're animals, theyre animals, free for all right?
but we just cannot think about having sex with an animal at all, it just goes againt everything we know and our whole world.
but thats exactly what the anti-gays think. they cannot at all for the very life in them entertain the fact that two men can have sex, be in love, or be together.
and im going to keep repeating this so no one gets me wrong, im just trying to look both ways.

and hitler didnt "just have an opinion" and sat there quietly, he did horrible shit
