Pilots only do this when they reach a good cruising height,
and from then on the autopilot takes over. Pilots only really
come back into it in the descent when human judgement
is needed to correct the landing position due to wind and shit.
Plus, if any danger is near, sounds made by alarms will alert the pilots.
