I'd like to share a revelation that I've had during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species and I realized that you're not actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment but you humans do not. You move to an area and you multiply and multiply until every natural resource is consumed and the only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet. You're a plague and we are the cure.

Ok hippies, if you hate humans and their impact on the environment so much, get rid of your cars, house appliances that run on gas or electricity, batteries, plastic, and any unnatural material your house has in it.

Also kill yourself to reduce the carbon count
#42 to #17 - jewnicorn (01/26/2013) [-]
You don't think that's what I'm doing? As soon as I move out of my parents house (I'm still in high school) I plan on either not having a house, or building my own out of natural materials that I can produce. And the only reason I won't kill myself, is because I hope I can set an example for the other people.

You are going to get down thumbed so hard.
#47 to #44 - jewnicorn (01/26/2013) [-]
Why? These are my plans for life. If people don't like that, they don't have to listen. I hope that they will, and look at the benefits of it, but knowing the general ignorance and blindness of humans, most of them won't.
#43 to #17 - jewnicorn (01/26/2013) [-]
And also- electricity CAN be a completely clean energy, it's just how you produce it. Currently, we produce it by burning coal and other fossil fuels, which is terrible for the environment. But hydroelectricity, solar power, thorium reactors, and many other things are completely clean ways to produce electricity. In my opinion, we shouldn't use electricity though. Just because we CAN make it, even make it cleanly, doesn't mean we should.

that's pretty ironic you say that as you are one a computer or laptop or phone or some electronic thingy
#54 to #53 - jewnicorn (01/26/2013) [-]
I realize this. However, it's the only electronic item I use.
User avatar #56 to #54 - sparkyoneonetwo (01/26/2013) [-]
or the fact that just about every thing you use was made with some thing that used electricity so by proxy you are using tones of electricity every day. Any book you read or new papers or and text the wasn't had written but, then even if it was hand written it was most likely done with a pen or pencil that was made in a factory that uses a **** load of electric

so no lights?? No tvs?? not music players or radios?? no totters or microwaves?? no head phones or speakers?? no cell phone or phone or any type??No cars or buses or anything like that??
#57 to #55 - jewnicorn (01/26/2013) [-]
I take buses, but usually walk and very rarely drive. I do use my computer to listen to music, and sometimes watch TV or play games. I don't turn on lights, except for two lights I use to start plants that I put into my garden (Where a lot of my food comes from) that use very little electricity. I realize that the things I use are made by electricity, there's no way around that in our modern world. I try to make my own things as much as I can, or go without. For example, I make my own string from plant fibers.
User avatar #58 to #57 - sparkyoneonetwo (01/27/2013) [-]
so just wondering why do you think we shouldn't use electricity??

#59 to #58 - jewnicorn (01/27/2013) [-]
I believe that for an ideal worldwide ecosystem to be sustainable, there needs to be fewer humans that impact the world in a smaller way. Electricity, while it's great for some things, and useful, isn't necessarily always a good thing because it allows for very quick technological advances. Some technology is 'good', but technology also makes it easier for people to survive, whether they have sickness, or disease, or have deformations that would usually make it difficult for them to survive in the natural world. I think that while it's possible for us to keep almost everybody alive, and it's possible for us to have amazing medicines that cure peoples illnesses and diseases, we shouldn't necessarily do it, because there are too many people on the earth for it's ecosystem to function properly and sustainably. Another upside to having fewer people and letting only the ones that are capable of surviving by themselves, or with the help of their family and friends or natural remedies live, is that evolution of humans will continue in a quicker way. Now, because the 'weak' humans are kept alive by machines and pharmaceuticals, there is essentially no survival of the fittest. Some people I have explained this to have called me cruel, or heartless, but I simply see it as a better way to carry on human life.

How one of my friends got dumped:

"You're so nice! but that's about it..."

So I mean they preach about the environment, while still having unnatural materials within their home. That was his point, not that they are hateful people.
User avatar #34 to #30 - sparkyoneonetwo (01/26/2013) [-]
he clearly said "if you hate humans" that sure makes it look like they are hateful.
Most hippies don't preach about the environment hippies lean why more toward hating the ideals of war or "The man". they think the ideals of peace and love as being essential in globalized society, and they are oftentimes associated with non-violent anti-governmental groups.

A real hippy form the 60s the flower-childern generation and stuff like peach of peace and happiness, love for everyone no more wars no more hate between fellow humans. The hippies have nothing to do with environment type stuff
