The main reason dwarf fortress is difficult to learn is due to a horridly unfriendly UI, that's the only problem I had. EVE wasn't too bad for me, difficult to actually master the gameplay but you learned pretty quick.

I don't know what invention is tbh, but yea, eve is pretty easy to learn to actually start but when it comes to more advanced stuff that's where it shines in the "Go fuck yourself if you feel like you want to be powerful" department. Don't get me wrong it's an amazing game, just sometimes it's a pain in the ass.

It's a good game with alot of stuff to do, but it's one of those things that you have to bake your cake made of your own internal organs an a hundred cups of blood before you're allowed to eat it.
