>go down to Adelaide to see a buddy of mine
>arrive at airport
>in line at the car rental kiosk
>some big aussie comes up to me
>"OY. YOU STO' MAH SPO' IN LOYNE, MATE."
>thousands of kangaroos enter the building
>he jumps on the largest one
>"NOBADY STAYLS THE KING O' KANGAROO'S SPO' IN LOYNE."
>run through security
>fly back to US

I moved to Australia at the beginning of last year, and my now friends used to mess with an American kid who was at the school for a few weeks or so (I think he came over to play with our local rugby team). They used to tell him everyone rode kangaroos to school and he semi-believed it, but of course the next day he saw them walking to school.
So, he goes up to my mates and says "You were messing with me, these guys are all walking to school" to which they responded "Nah, mate, they're in the repair shop."
Best part? He bought it for another few days
