Actually I have a Pit Bull. He's a genuinely nice dog. The reason there are so many Pit Bull attacks is because dumbasses buy them because A) They want to look like a badass and try to make the dog mean, or B) They fight them, and they become total monsters, as any breed would.

The fact of the matter is, Pit Bulls aren't the problem, bad dog owners that want to look cool are the problem. And most of you commenting things about Pit Bulls being terrible dogs have probably never met one that's had a normal owner, so shut the **** up.

I agree with you wholeheartedly
I was once bitten by a pitbull I wouldn't say attacked though, i was breaking up the fight it got into with another dog at the dog park
the owner actually sat there and cheered
eventually we got him separated from the main dog he was attacking
he did hurt three other dogs besides the main dog as well as four owners at the dog park
after we all got the dogs separated the owner who was sitting there doing nothing productive took the dog and ran
we all went out and got bandaged up after that
I ended up getting the full rabies shot series because we couldn't get any information on the dog
about a week after i got the last shot, the owner and dog was found
everyone pressed charges
he had to pay all the medical bills for every person and dog
he is no longer allowed to own a pet in the state of virginia
the dog was actually put into a foster home and is actually a great dog
I've had the chance to meet him since and I can tell he was sorry
he curled up into a ball and licked half my face off while breaking my foot with his tail thumping
goes to show you how great dogs truly are

I have a pit bull that has the same tiger stripe coat. His name is David. Pit bulls are the sweetest breed of dog I've ever encountered, so long as they are taken care of properly.

I used to have one and I loved her to death!
I took her everywhere, and I showed her nothing but love, and she was fine around people. Actually, you could even say she loved to meet new people, and was very personable. One day I was cleaning my back yard, and I heard dogs fighting in my house. My friend's shih tzu (who I had been babysitting) was in my dog's mouth, her neck broken, and bleeding out. I have since found out, through researching the breed, that they can be naturally aggressive to anything that they feel is invading their territory (be it humans or other animals). Don't you dare say I didn't take care of her, or show her enough love, because anyone who knew her would say that was ridiculous. I was absolutely crushed when the city made me put her down. Sometimes aggression is genetic, and there is not anything to be done about it. They don't have the same filter/perception of events as we do. They see a threat, and they act. It is neither bad nor good. They are just animals who do not know any better.

I understand what you're saying, but I think you don't understand what I'm saying. What I'M trying to say is that Pit Bulls, are indeed an aggressive breed, hands down. BUT people act like they're some sort of beast that mauls anything in it's path and is born with a natural hate and no ablilty to love. Which is not true.
