I don't know what they sell for snacks at my gym but I think their beverage vending machine just has water and Powerade.

I was going to say the same thing.

Those who go to the gym, what's the status on the "new years resolution" doofuses? There are tons of women at mine thinking that they're working out by going 2 mph on the treadmill and bringing yogurt...

Can't wait for them to go away.

I dunno, most people I've seen at the gym look like they've been pretty dedicated before New Year's, so I think most people gave up on resolutions already.
I don't have a New Year's resolution, but I do want to get into shape for bikini season ("into shape" as in "slightly defined muscles").
I don't do the treadmill but I do leg and/or glute toners on the ellipticals for 30 minutes and then do ab, arm, and leg exercises.
I have a 3-hour break between my first class and second class on MWF so I just waste time at the gym because I have nothing better to do.

But for the most part, I think a few resolutioners have stuck around, but most of the gym-goers are probably training for sports and **** .

Fun fact.
The vending machine was invented in Greece in around 50AD.
The man who invented it was a genius only known as "The Hero of Alexandria".
He invented many other things too, like automatons, pumps, and a very basic steam engine.

The first vending machine was made for selling holy water.
When a coin was inserted into the machine, the machine would dispense a pre-measured amount of holy water.

I'm sure they'd stock vending machines with Power Bars, Muscle Milk, Gatorade, and the like.

We'll just ignore all of the chips, candy and soda they really do keep in there just to make you keep coming back to the gym.
