Haha not by a long shot. im currently attending a private school in america. I have a 92 GPA, and im barely doing any school work. In Europe i was attending a public school where i worked a lot, and still failed several classes.

By political science terms, a country is a land or territory
#138 to #135 - betars (01/25/2013) [-]
but if a land is separated by ideology and identity, each having their own culture, would that still be considered as a single country?
User avatar #134 to #132 - sirbutterballs (01/25/2013) [-]
And America isn't a country, it's 2 continents.
User avatar #136 to #134 - betars (01/25/2013) [-]
then you would say "the Americas" because it's plural.
#497 to #136 - hairibar (01/25/2013) [-]
actually, it was named after an explorer called Americo, and the real name was "las Américas, in Spanish.
User avatar #133 to #132 - accolgate (01/25/2013) [-]
America is neither.
User avatar #140 to #133 - betars (01/25/2013) [-]
America is just another name for US.
Because instead of calling Americans "United-Statian" or "USA resident"
American is much easier.

I mean, would you call a Canadian American?
User avatar #364 to #140 - accolgate (01/25/2013) [-]
Yup, Betars. I would.
#173 to #140 - N. Korean citizen (01/25/2013) [-]
Technically, yes.
