No wonder you socialists think like you do, when every single piece information you have and share is fake. This is the real federal spending, link: WIKIPEDIA, US federal spending

Go live in your dreamy world where everyone is equal and leave this one to people who actually know how it works.

Yeah, but the US armed forces has a bigger budget than any other portion of the US government

Not true. You think it's biggest because you do not understand difference between discretionary spending and entire budget.
Discretionary + Mandatory spending = entire budget.
Defense department does have biggest share in discretionary, but it's not true in whole picture.

Social security and Medical expenses are rising above any other expenses, not only in the states but everywhere around the world. It's a exponential growth trend, while millitary expenses are falling or staying in most countries.

nice 4 year old budget that is misleading read "discretionary budget" it does not include in-discretionary spending such as social security or medicaid which makes up like 60+% of the total budget.

yes but social security is completely paid into by our taxes as an insurance policy that thhe government has taken money out of
#90 to #49 - xxxsonic fanxxx (01/24/2013) [-]
It isn't paid for anymore. The problem is it no longer goes to just the old that have paid into it all their life, but also people who never paid a dime.

no thats welfare, social security goes to those in need who have paid taxes like widows unwed parents and as you said the elderly

RSDI-Retirement, survivors, and disability insurance.

Through this, money from social security can not just be given to retirees, but disabled people who are younger than retirement age and children and wives of drawers (living or dead).

And since this is overlooked when you apply for benefits, those who draw here can also draw for welfare and unemployment.

Although the copyright tag at the bottom dates from 2011...
Which means it was planned for 2012, not 2012's actual spending/ chart.
