Explain, anyone.

Blue shift.
When approaching something with speeds close to the speed of light, the object appears more blue than it it.
When you move away with such speeds, it appear more red than it is.

Basically a Doppler-effect on the light you see reflecting from the object.

fun fact, because this effect, if we ever achieve faster than light travel, the visible light from stars will shift into the X-ray range and microwave radiation from the Big Bang into will shift to the visible spectrum.
so faster than light speed will actually look like this

does...does that mean there was another scientific term to a half life game?

To be technical, it works that way at any speed. Its just negligible at the speeds we can reach.

well, what you see as the object is, in reality, just the light being reflected by the object.

I'm german but I'll still try to explain despite my lack of terminology

Light mostly behaves like electromagnetic waves. Now, when the sound of a passing ambulance car gets lower when it drives away from you, the waves are strechtched (or clinched when it's drivin in your direction). Same applies for light. The wavelength varies when you are moving. This phenomenon is called the doppler effect. Now if you change thewavelength of light, the color changes. Scince you are moving with great velocity to the sticker, the Waves are clinched and the color turns blue for instance.
