Actually, there are only 52 or so different ways to arrange a deck of cards, think about it. As for burning the same calories while running/walking, that's disproved simply by observing the fact that you breath more oxygen while running than you do when walking. You burn 5 calories per liter of oxygen.
The total lung capacity of an average human is 6 litres.
The average breath uses 0.5 litres of that.
So 100 breaths is 5 calories.
You take roughly 20,000 breaths per day.
So you burn about 200 calories a day by breathing.
I started this maths to prove you wrong, but that actually kinda works out.
So fun fact: You burn over 6,000,000 calories over your lifetime just by breathing.

I think it is obvious someone did not study even highschool level science. WORK(energy)=Force x distance.... the force is the same (ignoring wind res.) and the distance is the same, so the energy (in calories) will be equal... what will NOT be equal is the power consumption; as that is measured in joules/minute.
I'm not sure you realize what a big number 52! is. 8 with 67 zeroes after it. Using the long system where a billion has 12 zeroes, that would be bigger than a billion, times a billion, times a billion, times a billion, times a billion.
