Goddamn, some people on facebook are stupid...I mean, even I know that what they call evolution in the pokemon games isn't REALLY evolution.

It's like people who make comments like the one in the demotivator. THAT'S NOT HOW IT HAPPENED!!! The Universe was nothing more than an intensely hot ball of cosmic soup. There was a violent explosion, likely caused by the heat interacting with some form of matter inside the ball, which caused a chain reaction that we call the Big Bang. All that gaseous matter was flung out into the depths of space. As it cooled over time (LOTS of time), the gaseous particles solidified, and clumped together, creating the celestial bodies we know and love.

It is NOT a creation theory! We don't KNOW what came before the Big Bang, or even where that big ol' ball of stuff came from. It's just an explanation as to how our universe came to be as it is now. In all likelyhood, the pre-Bang ball of Universe probably didn't exist in that state for more than a few seconds before it detonated, if that.

there are guesses. and there a scientific theories. scientific theories are different to regular theories.

Scientific theories explain phenomena using scientific observations and facts. like the theory of gravity is a theory which explains why matter attracts matter because each matter has a collection of quantum particles called gravatons. its a theory but i dont see your ass jumping off a building. Evolution is a theory which explains how over time species change characterisitics due to mutations and natural selection. it can be observed in moths, virus' and bacteria. as they have a very short generation life.
