You're not alone... Especially after I lost some of my best friends and girlfriend to another guy I never truly felt happy. Though now there's a new girl in my life, I think I may love her though not sure, and things are starting to get better. She's a really hyper peppy person too so the mood kind of rubs off. Essentially I say to you, the only thing that has helped me, is to find those whom you care about and vice versa or are generally good people and fun to be around. It will help improve your mood by a lot.

I used to be like you. Then eventually I grew to just be mad at the world. It keeps me from doing an hero.

Lower your expectations. Depressed becomes neutral, neutral becomes happy. It's how I managed not to kill myself as a teenager.

I'm already extremely pessimistic. I guess I'm just a ****** person to be around.
Also 24/7 fatigue sucks, no matter how much rest I get. Life doesn't suck, it's just miserable.

Hey, friednazi. I want to help. Do you mind if i ask a few questions first?

Great.
Has your fatigue been diagnosed by an M.D.? If so, listen to your doctors recommendations (I know that is stupid but that is all i got sorry)
If not:
How much do you exercise?
Are you sexually active?
Do you take medication of some kind?
What does your diet generally consist of?
( those were fatigue related) ( these are the neutralness)

Do you work a dead end job?
Do you have a limited number of people to "hang out" with?
Do you have a significant other of any kind?
What do you do in your free time?

I apologize if that was too many questions. I am just trying to get a broad understanding of you. Feel free to not answer any of them if you so wish.

Doctors just go "oh well you're a teenager".
I exercise a fair amount every day.
I'm sexually active.
No meds.
I don't have a stable diet. Sometimes I have non appetite and sometimes I gorge on junk food.
I've never had a job before.
I have a few close friends and a girlfriend, but sometimes I'm just not up to hanging out with people. I'm not a very social person.
In my free time I'm usually sleeping, or being on the internet. I haven't found a hobby or sport that keeps me interested.

Ok. in exchange for the dead end job question:
How is school going? is it too easy? or too difficult?

As for the rest:
Try making the sex with your girlfriend meaningful or important. Set a date/ time and get excited for it. Or pour emotion into it if that is your thing. Either way make it an event that you will think about before and after the fact.
A stable diet is important (which i'm sure you have heard a hundred times), so try to eat steadily all the time even when you have no appetite (but don't over eat obviously). however if that is too hard, (it can be i know the feeling) then try not to shove tons of junk into your self all at once. By doing what you are telling me you are doing your body can get to be pretty worn out.
Are you entertained most of the time when being with those close to you?
How many hours a day (on average) do you sleep?

I'm pretty bored with school. Only one class challenges me.
When I'm with family and close friends is when I'm happiest, but sometimes I get fatigued for no reason and need to stop hanging out with friends or family.
I sleep 8-9 hours a day, maybe 10-11 if I nap a lot. (I have a friend whose sleep schedule seems nice. He goes to bed at 5pm and sleeps as long as he wants until 2-4 am, then hangs out until he has to go to school. He says it eliminates tiredness for him.)

You honestly seem pretty normal except for the fatigue.
Can you describe it for me?
Also, what do you do when you get too fatigued to be with people?
User avatar #38 to #28 - friednazi (01/24/2013) [-]
Well in an entire day, I never really "wake up". I just kind of haze through it. It's like this constant tiredness. And when I'm too fatigued to be with people I usually just make up an excuse to go home and sleep.
(I'm not sure if this is important but I always have bags under my eyes, even after 12+ of continuous sleep)
User avatar #39 to #38 - grayham ONLINE (01/24/2013) [-]
Well, it sounds like your sleep is the real problem here. You aren't getting what you need out of it. Some basic things you can do are:
-don't watch tv or be on a computer within 20 minutes of sleep (brain gets put off by that energy)
-don't eat within 2- 3 hours of sleep
-if you wake up to an alarm then don't let it snooze. just get up
You can also look into different ways to improve your sleeping habits from scientific journals or your doctor. That is really all i have to help. I hope you start feeling better and i hope i could help. I would enjoy hearing from you in the next month or so to see if you feel better, but if you don't want to talk to me again, I understand. Have a great day!

Thanks I'll give those a try. May I ask what your experience is? You seem quite interested and knowledgeable.
User avatar #41 to #40 - grayham ONLINE (01/25/2013) [-]
You're welcome. I am currently studying psychology and problems similar to yours have interested me all my life. This is mostly due to the fact that i find helping people enjoyable and have learned simple solutions to the problems of my friends and family. So, most of my knowledge on this sort of stuff comes from friends, family, my own experiences and a bit from university Psych courses.
