You know what I think about Lance Armstrong admitting to doping? I think he's lying to get the media off his back. They've been on him for years about something they've never been able to prove no matter how many drug tests he took, and more recently they took away a title on what I don't believe to be reasonable grounds. I think he's just saying this now so it'll all pass over faster.
I disagree. If attention is what you dont want, going on one of the most viewed and longest running talk shows ever is not the way you do it. He famous. Talking to anybody (a paper, magazine, etc.) would have been a better option.
My point is if your going on Oprah, your not getting rid of the media. Furthermore, it may cause more media to assail him asking for comment, further explanation. If you are famous there is no way to avoid the media. All he accomplished was destroying his own reputation. All I know is that I would rather have the media annoying me day and night then have my family/friends/everybody think I have been cheating and lying my entire career.
Honestly I didn't believe him in the first place. I think he did use performance enhancing drugs because honestly, everybody in that sport does. The only reason hes catching all this flak is because he won. The winners are under the most scrutiny. It just disgusts me that he sued people for saying he cheated, but now hes admitting he did it? If hes that dedicated to preserving the 'truth', that he didn't juice, then why is he lying about it now?
