Well, in today's era, "gay", is used as a substitute for "uncool" or "lame". I don't say it myself. I don't look at something lame, and call it gay. But a lot of people do. Kinda like "faggot". Although "faggot" is known as a slur against homosexuals, people mostly use the word against people who are acting like fucking douche bags. Look up "Louis C.K's Faggot" on YouTube. You'll see what I mean.
