remind me again which state hasn't had any gun problems in 50 years. OH YEAH TEXAS. If a criminal wants to kill innocent people with a gun then they can. But when it comes to civilians, how do they protect themselves?? If a car can kill people then does that become a weapon too? Why not ban cars? They cause more fatalities than guns by far.

are you seriously suggesting that before a criminal commits a crime he stops and thinks, "maybe jail isn't fun." If that was the case then Im sure the US would be crime free.

No. I said "fry". As in kill. So it doesn't matter if jail is "fun" or not. They know that they will pay and have no chance of seeing anything again. I did my senior paper on the Death Penalty. The statistics prove that it deters. I am not saying banning guns is the answer.

population less the 30k. New Zealand, Australia has hundred of towns that size with zero murder rates.
I like the way the only decent footnotes in the wikipedia article point out that there was "a careful analysis of the data did not show that guns reduce crime" yet its only the most right wing properganda media touting it a success. Science vs blind beliefs. Walk away, no proof here.

You know how the lack of gun crime is made up for there? Knives. And knives are far worse to be attacked with for two reasons = they hurt A LOT more, and are much harder to defend yourself against.
