A couple of years before Mel Blanc passed away, he got into a very bad car crash that sent him into a very deep coma. He stayed in comatose state for a while with no luck in coming out and his family had almost given up hope in ever seeing him up again. One day however, his doctor jokingly said "How are you doing today, Bugs Bunny?" and he actually responded with "What's up, Doc?"

The doctor was shocked and ended up having a conversation with many of Mel's characters. This ended up waking him from his coma.

One of the most astounding stories that I've ever heard.

He and I are Bronies, after he passed away, my father had this engraved on his tombstone.
