My god, you've actually got an accurate analogy of how the system works...

9gag was designed with light humor in mind, which everyone would understand and enjoy, no matter if they're at work, waiting for their boss to get there, or at school, or at home. 9gag was made for everyone.

FunnyJunk is a more specialized website, you have to be a lurker to understand some of the posts. That, I think, is the difference.

You won't find "wat" pictures on 9gag. Nor will you find Dolan comics, or Katawa Shoujo posts, or ponies. Or anything out of the NSFW boards. But apart from those, yeah, we're the same as 9gag. Except, of course, for the community we have here.

The sad truth is, Funnyjunk liked ragecomics and le a while back. Then they realized that everyone else liked them too, and so they started hating them.

I like ragecomics, it makes it possible for people who suck at drawing able to make joke too

So fucking true, people need to stop being butt hurt about 9gag, the two sites get the same shit uploaded to them, they're pretty much the same thing.
