It's O.K., Washington state is actually similar in that about half the people are totally used to it and half don't know how to drive in it worth a damn. Although I suppose it comes down to perspective; there was an article in the paper once about a visiting Alaskan who jumped into the Pacific ocean for a swim claiming it was warm.
