Actually, Dragons don't scale per se, there's just multiple different kinds of Dragons, ranging from regular Dragons, to Ancient, with Revered and Legendary dragons added in Dawnguard. However, Mirmulnir also scales with level, so my entire comment was rather pointless.

Yhea it's a gateway game, it starts of innocently enough, play WoW a little on the weekends, maybe enjoy some tetris on your facebook. Then one day, you're hooked on the hard stuff, CoD, Halo, daily WoW raids. Your friends don't see you for days at a time and your loved ones get nervous. You shrug it off saying "it's just game i can quit whenever I want", but you can't quit. Not on your own.

Except that game got extremely dull extremely fast. I got 3 max levels in less than 2 months...because of no good high level content and horrible pvp and "exploring" I quit. The "exploring" as you call it is required to level...which is why it doesn't feel like exploring to me, it feels like a mundane task that has to be completed if you want any chance to beat the game. If you ever played GW1, the exploring in there is much more like exploring..they don't tell you where points of interests are, they expect you to find it yourselves, and cartography is a lot more difficult in GW1. My opinion of ArenaNet after GW2 instead of continuing with GW1 dropped an extremely high amount. I really hate that I can't play with my EU friends like I could on gw1, because they can't handle NA servers..and even though guesting is being added soon, get this..I still can't play with my EU friends because guesting between NA and EU servers aren't allowed. For all I care, ArenaNet can crash and burn for creating GW2.

Oh and the stories started getting horrible after level 30 because there was no variety. Trahearne shows up and you're like, "who the fuck is this and why is he all of a sudden more famous than me?" I really hated how it was only a personal story up to level 20..my rant is done now, I'm sorry.

When a warrior shouts...you're probably getting pummeled to death by a black knight
Killing poultry? Closest thing to poultry in this game is a drake that breathes lightning followed by...well, death.
Encountering an ancient evil? A nice return visit to the last bonfire you just rested at aka death.

There's the major story line then there's stories for characters that you meet like Solaire (the Sunbro) and Sif the Wolf and Artorias the Abysswalker.
