Random, I was just looking at Caucasian Mountain Dogs.
They are fucking incredible. I was reading part of their description and one bit just randomly said this "They are often used to hunt bears"

My German Shorthaired Pointer used to hunt bears all the time.
Most dogs can take on a bear because they are fast, not because they are strong.
If the bear gets into about two feet of water, that's when it will kill the dog easily because they can't move as quickly.
