Slash has a basepower of 70 and would only have a power of 140 if it was a critical hit, while Fire Blast has a basepower of 95, and adding the STAB gives it a power of 180. This means that 12.5% (99.6% in generation I, 25% in generation II and III) of the times you use Slash, you'll attack the defending Pokémon with a move with a power of 140, while 100% of the times you use Fire Blast, you attack the defending Pokémon with a move with a power of 180. Thus Slash would not kill Mewtwo as likely as Fire Blast would.

(Fire Blast would by the way have a power of 360 6.25% (19.25% in generation I) of the times you use it, being even more "lethal".)

Yes, it's a better choice than fireblast. However, anon implied that OP should have used a different move than the two. It only makes sense that Charizard or another party member had a weaker move to use.

You can just disable savestate

There's a way around it via the VBA settings. I can't remember exactly what it was, because I haven't used it in a while, but that problem is correctable.

pointless anyway, no$gba is better in pretty much every way and it can run ds games

Wrong, sir. I own an AceKard and it works extremely well. I even have an extra accessory that goes in the GBA slot that allows me to play GBA roms. The software being used on the device probably plays a good part in it, and I use AKAIO, which works wonders.

just saiyan, emulator on computer is way better and more stable, and for that part most reasons to get emulator is since you dont have a ds, so you go play on your ds and ill play wherever i want
