A different take on the gun debate, with poppies.

I'm not anti-gun. I'm anti-getting-shot, so excuse me if I get fucking scared when people walk around with guns visible.
Dude, I'm addicted to opiates. I did not want to see those pictures.
Mookie, I'm sorry to hear about your addiction. The poppy flowers in the background of the picture are NOT associated with opiates. They are the poppies associated with a famous poem called "In Flanders Fields." Since the poppies in the poem were growing in France during the early 1900's I doubt they were the types that could be used to create opiates.

No one ever robs shooting ranges even though they are sites containing many expensive items as well as cash in the till because if they tried, everyone there has loaded weapons and would shoot them immediately. Apply this to real life. Increased gun ownership would create the "anyone could be armed" environment, and probably discourage violence by the .0000000000001% who consider it something they would do. So let's increase responsibility among gun owners and the number of responsible gun owners rather than disarming those who would protect us if someone should become an issue.

**unncommon rolled a random image posted in comment #2648075 at My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic ** What the solution actually is.
My only pro-gun argument is Switzerland.
>1-in-2 adults carries a firearm
>gun ownership required by government
>lowest crime rate in the world

Long post but riddle me this. Gun free zones and/or anit-gun zones promote a premium choice for some nut job to walk in and start blasting away at innocent people who are unarmed. The solution is more relaxed gun laws to allow civilians to carry weapons open or concealed. Thus in the event some nut job decides to go postal he won't be dealing with an easy task. Instead of him blasting away easy, unarmed targets, he will face other armed citizens firing back, thus killing him before he can kill 20 innocent children. Some people will argue "but everyone walking around packing will create mass shootings and more violence". Is it not happening already? With the vast majority of people armed it would almost eliminate mass shootings, these crazy people target easy, unarmed people in "safe, gun-free zones" such as malls, movie theaters. and schools. You don't see these people going postal on police stations, military bases or at gun shows because they know the people they are targeting will be firing back. Guns exist, passing any law furthering their restrictions will only place the weapons in bad-guy's hands and not in yours. You, a law-abiding citizen will be left unarmed, or with a limited magazine capacity because of upcoming gun laws.
Just an idea, How about we put our money and effort into researching and treating the mental disorders causing a majority of these shootings? Or we can just pick them up and push them somewhere else.
