Prometheus is supposed to be the very very first aliens movie if I remember correctly. It makes a whole lot more sense if you watch the original aliens. When they started introducing alien and predator together, it started getting kind of gay IMO

i personally thought it was an interesting crossover. the universes greatest warriors against it's most unstoppable and ravenous parasite..... wait.....

I guess I just didn't like the whole idea. I watched an AvP and the aliens were fucking up this city, and one of the predators got impregnated. I don't really remember. But anyway it was modern day, and they nuked the town. But in the original alien, they had no clue about the xenomorphs and it was in the future. It just didn't quite make sense. Other then that, they tied it in alright. It also brought a lot of games and merch, to the series, which is great.

It's called AvP: Requiem and it's a complete piece of shit movie.
Heck, the first AvP, which is mediocre, is 2 times better!

Honestly I suggest you go and play Aliens Versus Predator from 1999 or AvP2. Much, MUCH better experiences.

P.S.: The crossovers were first done in comics. Also you can clearly see a Xenomorph skull in the Predator ship in Predator 2.

AvP is a whole other universe thats not tied in with the original storyline. Prometheus is the prequel to Aliens and is really more about the background story of the Space Jockey. Ridley Scott intended Prometheus to be a whole other creation but still having very few references to the original Alien storyline.

Yeah, but that is my whole point. Why would you take aliens (A fucking awesome trilogy) and throw away the great plot and everything. Ditch the universe, and then turn it and twist it into something else?

Prometheus was filled with references to the original Alien story line. If he intended for it to be a "whole other creation" his efforts sucked. I'm not complaining because Prometheus was a good movie, and I like the idea that it ties into the original story.

The second avp game, The events of the game are set fifty years after the events of the film Alien 3.
The first game, as an alien, there is a level which you get to crawl around the nostromo, also you get to see the space jockey

it is tied in with both the alien universe and the predator, more of the alienverse though.
And the movies just ruined the Avp franchise.

I've only gotten to play the recent AvP game that came out like 1 or 2 years ago, and I really liked it. I'm mostly excited for Colonial Marines.
