I am so happy to see this freaking post. I did a report on Brave New World in junior english a few years back. We had to take a controversial or banned book and give our opinion on if it is reasonably banned or what not.

well i quickly discovered in reading brave new world (at first having no idea what it was about, a random ****** off of my public libraries shelf) that what Huxley was saying was very plausible and since then i have lived my life trying to stray away from the 'distractions' he couldn't be anymore close to being right... its scary.

wonder what his take on legal ********* would be since in the book he had "Soma" as a drug used throughout the book with similar effects.

no one cares just wanted to rant.

I agree completely.

Yet time after time, I feel sucked in by the distractions.
The world around is as intimidating as it is wonderful and vast,
and sometimes it seems to speak to you:

"Why don't you shut up and plug yourself in? Get down, it's not safe out there, you'll make a fool of yourself. Just press the button".
