Why haven't games done that recently? I never had the honour of playing MGS, but didnt Psycho Mantis read your memory card and tease you of the games you play?

I don't remember about the memory card part, but I do know that to beat him, you had to use controller port 2 or otherwise he'd predict your moves.

Why yes, yes he did. Also, he's invisible but if you plug the controller into the second slot instead of the first you can see him... or something like that

You had to use thermal goggles to see him, but the 2nd controller port was necessary to hit him. He would have "read your mind" otherwise.
