I work at Gamestop, it's really not as awful as everyone thinks, say you bought a game, it's an awful game, you have 7 days to return that game if it's from the pre-owned section.
We don't make enough money to give you full price back for the games, we'd be out of business. We do sometimes give you good deals, and also if you use it towards a game or a console, it takes off some money for what you really want.
I dunno, I love working there, and I know a dollar for a game sucks, but we're just trying to stay open. :/
Where else would you rather go, Walmart?

Dollar a game? Wow you're countrys gamestop sucks. I go to a finnish gamestop and i can get up to 20€ for a game, of course for 20€ it need to be brand new. But let's say i could get about 5€ for lets say borderlands 2(xbox360) or some other game that is new but not brand new. I think the prices are fair. I never get under 2€ for a game that is not older than 2 years.
It's just Walmart will sell it to you for the same price as a new game from Gamestop, but they don't take back the games you opened and give you money back for it >.<
I'm just saying is all.
I don't know about your small town game stores to argue with that point.
