They still represent our country. The majority of the country is not obese yet you stereotype us all as them. Yes more people are obese than Olympians but more people are fit than obese.

America does so good at the Olympics because of all the black people who due to slavery were bred to be as strong as possible. Also athletes who train all the time have nothing to do with the general public, their achievements are not your achievements. Just because there are some elites in your country doesn't stop the fact the majority of your population is overweight which is a fact. A very large number of Americans are athletes (like myself) and if the olympians represent my country in the Olympics, they should be allowed to in other situations that deals with them (and yes it does deal with them because they are too calculated in the average weight). Also, if they are excluded from the argument, then I should be, too because im not near overweight nor are any of my friends and most of the people i socialize with on a daily bases.

Its not a very large number of Americans which are athletes, it may be a large number in comparison to smaller groups but in comparison to over weight people its tiny, that is why America is said to be fat, because the majority are. The fact that you and your friends are underweight mean nothing, you are taking from a small sample, taking from small samples will nearly never give the results of the overall.

Its not racism im stating the truth, the strongest slaves were bred together producing stronger offspring, its a simple science which has been used for hundreds if not thousands of years and its the reason why a grand national winning horses sperm costs so much, in the DNA of that horse is strength and speed. If you cannot grasp that strong being bred with the strong creates a stronger offspring then you need to go back and learn elementary science. Yes the athletes train incredibly hard but just simply being born a black American with an athletic build you have the advantage of genetics on your side.

it's more than genetics and you should recall that slaves were not given anything beyond minimal living standards. most died of cold weather, disease, starvation, or over working. very seldom if not ever were slaves "bred" for their strength and even if they were that stopped nearly 200 years ago any "breeding" would be pointless after at least 2 generations. furthermore with population increase, interracial marriage, and dietary changes genetics would NEVER be enough for a 2012 Olympian. you're point is ignorant and ill supported and diminishes the honor of every united states African American Olympian.

My scientific evidence comes from the hundreds of years of Farmers focusing on breeding the cows which produce the most milk, the race horse owners breeding the fastest, the dog breeders breeding the biggest. My scientific evidence is shown every time anything is bred for a specific talent/advantage.

yes but you are not focusing on history my friend. while i do not dispute that breeding produces offspring with similar characteristics as their predecessors; i'm merely stating that did not occur as often as you, for some reason, believe it did with slaves and that you cannot attribute a black Olympian's achievement to simply genetics nor can you say it gives them the upper hand to an extent that they may coast in to the Olympics and win a gold medal based solely on that merit.

The breeding of slaves for strength happened all the time, its not talked about in school for obvious reasons but it happened a hell of a lot and again you are reading things i didn't even write, i've not once said black Americans can coast in the Olympics, they work just as hard as other athletes but their genetics are what make it so that they dominate, white athletes work just as hard as black athletes but black athletes still win? Why is that? Well...its pretty obvious knowing about the breeding but even not knowing that you know they have some advantage.

Im not entirely certain about this dance you speak of but Francis Scott Key created The Star-Spangled Banner when we won the bombardment of Fort McHenry during the American Revolution. All of our other freedom-based songs were made because we were the land that all immigrants came to in their time of need (not saying we were completely open arms to all of them) and when we had a country that focused on the people.
