If Greece doesn't want the German money anymore, they are free to leave the EU any time they want. Three years later, they will be a third world country, but at least they'll find someone else to blame for their own inaptitude then.
For many many years, the Greek people have elected politicians who have fucked up their country, pushed it deep into debt, wasted money, fostered corruption. And now that Greece has reached the end of the line, it's all Germany's fault, because Germany doesn't just want to throw money into a deep black hole without any chance of every seeing it again? What about blaming the idiots who elected the corrupt politicians. It's not like it was a secret that they were corrupt. Everyone knew. But back then, I didn't see any big protests in Greece. Everyone happily watched the country go down the drain. And now it's all someone else's fault. Convenient!

There's this comic sketch by a portuguese comedian, a well-known comedian called Herman José. This sketch is from the 90's and he's portraying Adolf Hitler.
Again, THIS SKETCH WAS MADE IN THE 1990's.
It's called "What if Germany had won the war" and what Hitler says is:
"A new order for Europe - every country united in a borderless community with a common currency... but sooner or later Germany will have the power..."
