Somewhere I heard that wasn't a full family reunion. Anyway that time is irrelevant since she actually said 100 months (or moons) and had a baby applejack in her memory from that reunion and no applebloom to be seen. I guess if the show was originally meant for girls aroud that age it's natural for them to be close that age.

By the way:
100 moons --> 28days * 100 = 2800days
2800/365 = 7.67 --> 7 years and around 7 months.

Well, i'de say your making a pretty grose asumption here, that whatever planet Equestria is located on has the same lenght of months as Earth, and even so, that the "XXX Moons" refer to months. It could mean something else entirely.
