17 to join the army actually bub, just need parents consent and a note from your student counsellor saying you are on track for graduation, also have to be at least a Jr.

You can also get a video game with your parents. I was referring to things you do by yourself.

User avatar #66 to #34 - failtolawl (01/14/2013) [-]
but you can also have your parents buy you a game at any age
User avatar #38 to #34 - kiill (01/14/2013) [-]
You can enlist at 17 but you wont get shipped to basic until you ate 18
User avatar #41 to #38 - theonlytinman (01/14/2013) [-]
FALSE! You can be sent at 17 with parental consent so long as you are 18 when you graduate Basic Training.

Close, you can be 16 to be in the reserves (but many recruiting centers say 17 for some reasons). But I believe you can't be deployed until you're 18.
User avatar #46 to #45 - theonlytinman (01/14/2013) [-]
It was like that for Marine Corps boot camp. But that makes sense since people can get deployed only 2 months after its over.

Oh, sorry, I thought we were talking about Canada still. :P

Canada has a military?

Joking of course, Canada's cool.
#166 to #67 - thumblocked (01/14/2013) [-]
Thanks bro :p. I'm assuming you're an 'merican?
User avatar #167 to #166 - thepyras (01/14/2013) [-]
Nah, I'm an American. It's like being a 'merican, except I'm in college. I'm really a lot more like a Canadian, though. My friends who've been to Canada say that I seem like I fit there more so than here.
#168 to #167 - thumblocked (01/14/2013) [-]
Well I don't judge. I like most of the americans I've met. So you like maple syrup and beer?
User avatar #169 to #168 - thepyras (01/14/2013) [-]
I don't really drink, but I love syrup. In fact I go to Cracker Barrel (home cooking restaurant, not just a gathering place for white people) just for their tiny syrup bottles.
#170 to #169 - thumblocked (01/14/2013) [-]
I love you
User avatar #171 to #170 - thepyras (01/14/2013) [-]
I love you as well, but why do you say that?
#172 to #171 - thumblocked (01/14/2013) [-]
Because being french canadien, maple syrup is as much in our culture as the desire to separate ;)
User avatar #173 to #172 - thepyras (01/14/2013) [-]
To separate what?
#174 to #173 - thumblocked (01/14/2013) [-]
On two occasions, Quebec has voted to separate from the rest of Canada. The first vote was lost by a lot, but the second one was only lost by 0.1%. So Canada was damn close to losing a province. The ongoing joke in Canada is that all people from Quebec want to separate.
User avatar #175 to #174 - thepyras (01/14/2013) [-]
Oh, ok. I'm sorry, I probably should have known that. I thought you were making a joke about cutting down trees. It's a joke around here, primarily because of the Wolverine movie, that lumber is Canada's main industry.
#176 to #175 - thumblocked (01/14/2013) [-]
Meh, I don't know that much about about what goes on down south over there, so it's okay.
User avatar #179 to #176 - thepyras (01/14/2013) [-]
Typically. Sorry, I ran out of reply spaces.
User avatar #177 to #176 - thepyras (01/14/2013) [-]
To put in in a word; nothing, unless you go even farther south. Then there's the drug industry.
