I went to Ireland one summer. I stayed in a hotel with a bar on the bottom floor. (To be honest, I don't remember staying in a hotel in Ireland that didn't have some sort of a bar.) Elderly couples were dancing at midnight, and I was just sitting there like "These old people have more of a social life than I do."

EVERY hotel has a bar here. Seriously, you'd be hard pressed to find one without. Is it not like that in other countries?

I think some do have bars, some serve alcohol but don't have bars, but there are hotels that don't even deal with alcohol. I have no idea, I've never thought of that. I just thought it was funny that no matter where you are in Ireland, you are never far from a pub of some sort. I even saw a men's clothing store with a bar inside of it.
