Apple (and other companies, but Apple is by far the worst) builds their phones to NOT last. Not because it can't be good looking and be durable, but because they want you to buy a new one, preferably a "better" model. It's called planned obsolescence. Read up phaggut.

You can't use those anymore because they run on analog signals, while the current ones use digital.
