Post argument that foot was from a different creature.

Don't show creature's feet.

Seems legit.

i looked this up, this is the definition of the megalapteryx

The Lesser Megalapteryx or Upland Moa (Megalapteryx didinus) was a species of ratite bird endemic to New Zealand. Ratites are flightless birds with a sternum without a keel.
theyre the same thing...

You mean this wasn't made clear as-
"It's not a Moa--it's a dinosaur foot. They were a giant species of lizards from all over the world that died millions of years ago."
-was spammed all over the place the day that picture was posted?

This is a very interesting report http://www.ucmp.berkeley.edu/diapsids/avians.html
It pretty much discusses all similarities of birds and dinosaurs, shows examples of some key extant birds that seem to show signs of evolving from certain species of dinosaurs, and even explains that birds are practically avian-reptiles (technically, birds do have scales on their feet)
Anyway, it's a nice read from what seems to be a trustworthy source.

fake: this creature hovers above the ground and thus, has no feet (as shown in the picture)

I think... I'm sorry
User avatar #63 - bagguhsleep ONLINE (01/13/2013) [-]
It's not a dinosaur--it's a Moa foot. They were a giant species of bird from New Zealand that died several hundred years ago.

"just thought people would want some clarification on this, also don't just blindly believe what people say"

But, if I don't blindly believe what people say how will I know that this is true?

Yes i agree with your description, i don't blindly believe what i read, see or hear. Therefor i don't believe in anything you just posted, and i don't actually see where this is coming from at all........

I refuse to believe you posted that comment of your own free will. I am going to assume you did so at gunpoint, and will call the police so they can trade your IP address. Don't worry, buddy, help is on its way.

I know scientists somewhere are trying to bring dino's and mammoths back to life but they dont have enough dna and close enough species but couldn't we resurrect the moa seeing as it died only a few hundred years ago?
User avatar #33 to #32 - serotonin (01/13/2013) [-]
There are some completely preserved mammoths found in Siberia...so dont give up on mammoths yet
User avatar #30 - HappyBus (01/13/2013) [-]
